ok i no longer have my civic, ive been driving my wifes pontiac g6 and i noticed the right front speaker is blown. she could careless but it drives me crazy so i need to get that fixed. my delima is i do not want to spend alot of money at all being that im saving up to buy my own car and i will do an audio build on that. im simple looking for a pair of 6.5 speakers to throw in, no amp no subs. the factory tweeters still wont i just need to 6.5 mids. i was looking at maybe the aq/sq pro mids since there 50 bucks a pair, are 4 ohm and 95db spl so they should sound fairly loud for not being amped, atleaste better than stock. anyways if anyone has another suggegstion in the price range id appreciate it. remember i dont need components, im not amping it because i am not doing anything for this car, atleast until i get my own. thnx

being that its kinda a facory componet set up those should work fine.

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

Go on PartsExpess.com and look around. Get something cheap, and get one for each side, not just one. You don't need much power handling but you're already smart to know that sensitivity is what you're looking for, so just find something that fits your budget. They have some good, well priced stuff on that website. There's no need to put anything too crazy in off stock power.

-Edit- Look at that, Ninja'd from someone with the same idea

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

I wonder how these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=295-305

Do against these http://www.ebay.com/itm/FSB-216-MB-QUART-6-5-2-WAY-COMPONENT-MIDS-TWEETERS-CROSSOVERS-SPEAKERS-FSB216-/130570606865?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item1e669d5911

I have 2 sets of the MBQuarts without the tweeters in the middle. I wonder which is better. I need to run them off an amp and not my HU someday. :/

look at the construction of the drivers the daytons woofer is deff built better and has more motor force so you would have better coil/ cone control
