Omega5002 Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 The Epicenter is just a more advanced bass boost device, makes songs like classic rock have the same amount of bass as rap, the "bass restoration" is a hunk of baloney, says it restores bass in old music, it doesn't cause the bass wasn't there in the first place. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
1dirtylowhoe Posted August 26, 2013 Author Report Posted August 26, 2013 What about some insight on there big equalizer and crossovers, ( what there for exactly)
Omega5002 Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 Yeap, only thing good is on the Epicenter plus, is the OEM integration, so you can keep the stock radio, but overall, in a properly set up system, you don't need it. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
Omega5002 Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 I've heard good things about their equalizers and crossovers though. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
1dirtylowhoe Posted August 26, 2013 Author Report Posted August 26, 2013 Thanks for the input, ill do some more reading to find out what the cross over does and if if i need it or not
Omega5002 Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 If you're wanting to run active, but the amp doesn't have good crossover features, that's where the external crossover comes in. The equalizers has a lot more bands than a standard radio eq, so you have more control on getting rid of the peaks and valleys in your setup. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
1dirtylowhoe Posted August 26, 2013 Author Report Posted August 26, 2013 Alright, one last question what is the difference between passive and active?
