My 2012 Nissan Altima System Build

This is the system build for my newest (brand new at the time) 2012 Nissan Altima. This is my previous setup and it has since been updated.

This is what the car had in it at the time:

JVC AVX-820 Double Din

4 Gauge Red Power Wire

4 Gauge Black Ground Wire

Rockford Fosgate RCAs

1x Audiobaun 4 channel (Mid & Highs)

1x Cadence A7+HC mono (1200 watts by 1 at 1 ohm) (Sub)

1x Sound Stream Picasso PC.6 6.5" Component Speakers Set (Front)

1x Infinity Reference 6.5" Coax Speakers Set (Rear)

1x Sound Stream T7.12 12" Subwoofer

I traced the carpet from the trunk on a piece of MDF to create a partial subfloor so I would be able to screw down the amps and subbox to keep them from moving around without screwing into the metal of the car.

A full 1 piece subfloor wouldn't have fit and this also would be easier to remove if I had a flat tire and needed to get to the spare.

With the factory carpet over the top, you ever known it was there

I mounted the 2 amps behind the seat between the sub box so they were mostly hidden.

I gave the front of the box a 35 degree slant front. Box measurements are 15"H x 22"W x 14"D1 & 18"D2 x 3/4" thick MDF and a double front baffle.

I'm a pollock so I label everything or I get confused lol

This was the first box I have built with an angled front but luckily everything fit snuggly.

I didn't plan it but the box sits just above the Altima logo on the carpet, I was happy lol

Back, sides, bottom and top all sealed, I caulked the front after it was mounted but didn't take any pictures

Sprayed the inside black to see how it would look, it looks pretty ugly so I ended up spraying it with truck bed liner afterwards and it looked 100% better

Rounded all corner with the round-over bit

Gotta love the Circle Jig

filled all the screw holes with wood putty and sanded them down

glued both front panels before attaching them to the box.

Front door components

The wrapping of the box in carpet... its all easy until you have to do the seams

Here is the final product!! I think it looks clean and still gives me room to use my trunk for other stuff.
