trent420
I have a mmats 3001.right now in my 2001 Eclipse on 2 Rockford p3 12's. Obviously, this is way too much amp. I am about to replace my subs and was looking at the sundown x series. I'm going for LOUD as hell, but I still want sound quality so a strictly spl sub is out of the question. I have the option of taking the backseat out and doing 2 12's in a 4th order, or 2 15's in a vented box. What do you think about this idea, and with one will give me the best spl. is the x the correct series sub?
DylanBunch
im gonna do 2 x 18s in a 4th order, theyre great 4th order subs apparently. I have 1 right now in a ported box at 35hz and it sounds pretty good ported too. I think a 4th order will sound better and be loud, but cone area might be a tad bit louder, maybe move more air too. trent420
I heard 6 x 15's in a 4th order with 15k on them and words can't even describe what it sounded like. I'm leaning toward the 15's. Those 18's should be sick when you get it done!
DylanBunch
Its all in the box dude, not the size of the sub, you won't be disappointed with 2 of these 12s in a 4th order. 2 12s is about the same cone area of 1 18 and my 18 is almost as loud as my friends 2 15s. I say do the 12s Quote 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows
