What would you do?
DylanBunch replied to Totalnoob's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
2k is really the limit on the x series, I could even get my x sub hot on 1800 watts so I'd say zv4, it'll still play the lows just fine lol that's the point of the new Xs and zv4s. Also, it mainly depends on your box too. Any sub will play low in a box built for lows -

I got my hands on one contact Jonathan price on Facebook or email [email protected] -
I think you're very confused lol you asked for a band pass and then asked for the design to have the specs of the subs in a ported wall. If you want a band pass design, the manufacturer recommends specs won't come into play and you sure as hell won't be happy with a 4th order band pass tuned to 26-32 lol

Idk if anyone has seen the new skars but they look almost identical to the sundown zv4s lol almost identical baskets, big ass surrounds (although not quite as big), even yellow spiders. It's honestly pointless and they're clearly just trying to mimick the look because the new sundown basket and surround is all about high excursion, low end extension and what not but skar doesn't say one word about lows or high excursion in the description lol just sounds like they reworded the zvx v1 description. I'm curious to know how they are aloud to do that with the patents Jacob has for the new subs, also curious to know if it bugs him as much as it bugs me lol had to rant sorry. I hope someone is with me on this

Recone to increase XL M2 15" power handiling ?
DylanBunch replied to haq's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Sounds like he was told the gain is a volume knob lol. I could be wrong but I believe I heard the XL coils can handle at the most 3000rms daily. A 5k is a perfect match, just get your box right and set your gains with a dd-1, if that's not loud enough upgrade. -

I wouldn't put too much stock in looking at parameters only. We dropped some of these right into Scott Bowman's Tahoe -- right after testing Z v.4s -- the NS v.3 was as loud / louder at any frequency (the gains came the lower the frequency and leveled out up higher). It also matched the peak score of his old NS v.2s -- which is nice since his peak is ~50 Hz... and gained the ability to play forcefully a full octave below his peak Scott runs six 15s in a 4th order.Zach Pope will be installing some NS v.3 in a 4th order soon as well -- so stay tuned for that never got a chance to sit in Scott's Tahoe but I saw it this year at sbn and saw he had new night shades, scary to think it got louder in any way lol I'll definitely keep what you said in mind -

Will these be able to be made into great 4th order subs? Qts seems a little low for 4th orders. Also curious if the team sub will be well suitable for 4ths -
I've noticed that most pro audio mids have high db sensitivities but I saw the neo pros are in the low 90s when most are high 90s. Are neopros still as loud as other brand speakers with higher db sensitivities or does that not really matter? I've also noticed on the site that sundown says the neos are more car audio suitable, what do they mean by that?
