Guest Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 my front left output gets ground noise in my pioneer AVH 3300BT. I've done the following to determine this: Ran HU ground straight to battery Did the "pico fuse ground RCA to chassis of HU" trick, so it's not the RCA's ground Installed noise filters on both 12v constant lane and 12v acc lane, rules out cars electrical system Swapped RCAs from rear to front, and it stayed in the front left output, tells me it's the front left channel outputting the noise Ran RCAs straight across the cab to the amp, so it's not interference from the 0 gauge that's ran down the middle of the car. [edit] I've also connected the front channel RCAs to a RCA to 3.5mm cables connected the 3.5mm to my phone and had no ground noise, so that rules out the RCAs and after all of the above troubleshooting, tells me it's the head unit. [/edit] I don't have money for a new HU at the moment, I just ordered a new soundqubed amp for my SA12, I'm also getting a box built, and have other things on the list.. What's the best move of action to put a band aid on this? I'm thinking Y adapter on the rear left input of the amp, and throw both the rear left & front left outputs on it.
David Bailey Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Go to youtube and do a search. There is a little trick you can do with Pioneer HU's that might help. When I reground the RCA the ground noise gets significantly worse.
