Anyone added an amp to 2013 ford superduty?

I need better sounds in my truck and want to start with more bass. It's not the best but I have a pioneer 12 shallow from my old 08 f350 but I am not sure how to add the amp to the my touch system.

I have read some use the jl clean sweep, some the audison bit 10, some just use hi lo converters and others say you can grab the low pass signal off the factory wiring and just convert it to RCA.

The last option was what I did on my wife's Audi s4 before I replaced the head unit but it seemed to cut back bass or signal.

Any ideas would be great. Also, I will be installing my focal components when time permits if it makes a difference, just don't have the time for those right now.

Thanks and I love the site. Been a long long time lurker

I would do a processor of some type, personally I would go withe the rockford 3sixty.3.

If you'e wanting to upgrade everything in the future, you should skimp now on what is going to process audio for your focals and whatever amp you put them on.

I have an t2500 a t1000 and t400.4 . The 400 will run the focals, not sure for subs yet.

Why should I skimp now? I would rather start with the right stuff than replace it all several times.

I will not replace the stereo as it also controls my heated cooled seats and the climate

with all that you're gonna need a bigger alternator, very likely.

I installed a jl 900/5 in my dads 09 f250 and we kept the stock deck in location.

I just tapped into the rear speaker for signal to the amp then ran the speaker outs to each door. I used a line converter..

He also used the shallow 12"

..Now he bought a 2013 f150 and doesnt even know where to start lol and I havent had the time to get into it fully.

and depending on your electrical needs, if it is a diesel it already has two big batteries and a big alternator. So unless you are going to be playing full tilt all the time you should be alright.

Yeah I'm not worried about electrical yet. If I can get the box I need and make the space for my ground zeros then ill use the 2500 and it may need some upgrades.

As for now, it has the bigger hd alternator and 2 batteries and on my old truck it had the smaller alt and didn't mess up voltage still.

Should NOT skimp now.... lol Sorry about that. I wouldn't replace the radio either. With a good processor you can get just as good of sound if not better.
