if you click the pic you can see what im talking about. now being that i have to use 3/0 lugs from tractor supply " the 1/0 wont fit and the 2/0 bearly fits/ so my question is does that black part come off and if so how have you guys delt with this situation?

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

There are two nuts, remove them and the black plastic shroud comes off. Iv'e had to grind quite a few down in the past, including my current , singer 300.

i think over all the 3/0 lug is alot bigger then the shroud ill have to look and see what i can do may have to do a combo of grinding and using washers to get a good contact thanks for your advice though

Grind/Cut the shroud off down to the line in the pic. You will basically have just the stud hanging out then. If you need to take more off you can grind down to the jam nut , just make sure you leave enough material for said jam nut to tighten down on whats left of the plastic. Those studs are pretty short so you wont really be able to stack washers etc, especially with the thickness of 1/0-3/0 copper lugs...
