I have some knowledge and have 2 8" kicker solobaric L7s right now and I have them sold I am looking for 2 12" subs and amp for under 250$. Thank you to anybody who can help!! check out sonicelectronics.com for some subs. and amps. they might even have sub and amp combos in a box for trucks idk. i dont wanna bash kickers they are pretty good but i dunno if anyone would buy some 8's. solobaorics are good but there is a reason people dont go with square subs, the corners are not very strong, yes square subs have a bigger surface area but round subs are always best. id try craigslist to try and sell those kickers.

Alexander Henry Freeman Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 Hello newbie here was wondering if you could help me...i have a 98 expedition and 2 l715's i wanna build a ported box for them with the speakers facing up and the ports facing up....i dont want stuff getting sucked into the port....is it better 2 build 2 boxes or just 1 because i do not want them to share the same air space as far as dimensions...24-26 inches deep 40-48 in wide and 18 to 23 inches high. i would like to have the maximum airspce closest to 12 cu ft if possible. i would like to tune it to 35hz and will brace it with 2x4's unless you reccomend wooden dowels or the corner braces.if there is anything eles you need pleas let me know. any help is greatly appreciated as i am trying to avoid buyin the commercial box of of ebay
inferno1985 Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 first before you buy any subs tho. id make sure that box is made to fit most of the 12's, im sure it is but you never know. how much room behind your seats do you have to work with? rough estimate on dimensions?
