WAR40T Posted October 1, 2013 Author Report Posted October 1, 2013 empty boot shots Would this box size suit? Found it online, i could maybe mod my original box to suit this style of port and size with a new box face
The_Iceman Posted October 1, 2013 Report Posted October 1, 2013 I'm trying to figure something out still, with you trying to put the box on the shelf, there is not enough room for a dual sub ported. You need around 4 cubes. The box you posted would work out to around 4.5 I believe with displacement factored in. I think you may have to either stick with one sub ported, go dual subs sealed or come up with a way to get more room on that shelf. Using the full dimensions you drew up for the shelf i was only getting in the 2 cubic ft area. Which you can do sealed but not ported. Your original box was sealed anyways. I may just be missing something, but I'm not seeing how a dual ported will fit My audio system HU - Kenwood KDC bt755HD Subs - Sundown SA 10 -2 Amplifier - CT Sounds 900.1 Car - 2013 scion TC "It matter's not what other's think about you as long as you are happy with who you are" "Great people didn't not sit around and wait for great thing's to come their way, they laced up their shoes, went out kicked some ass and made them happen" "Until you've taken a long walk in my size 11 you have no right to judge me" Musical interests: We came as romans, A Day To Remember, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, Story Of The Year, Atreyu, Breaking Benjamin, rise against, bullet for my valentine, red, skillet, Volbeat, alterbridge, creed, T.I., B.o.B, Eminem, T-pain,
Crandis16 Posted October 1, 2013 Report Posted October 1, 2013 your car is sexy, wish US fords were as badass as some oversea fords Personally I would tune to 38hz for just a musical box to go with lower mainstream bass My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
WAR40T Posted October 1, 2013 Author Report Posted October 1, 2013 Thanks guys, Crandis, us Aussie Folk say the say about the U.S cars, wishing we had them over here, happening soon though as Ford Aus have binned our large car program and are going for smaller more fuel efficient cars. We should have the next gen Mustang in 2015 and will be finally getting the fusion here next year. Current car has the 4 litre straight 6, with a few mods, lol, reeled off 487rwkw 1204 RWNM torque, i think that's around the 670rwhp mark. Iceman, How many more inches would be needed off that shelf to give the desired volume? Here is another picture of some more measurements as the other was just a measurement of the opening for the back seat. If that fails, there is the spare wheel well to consider for a box. something like this i found online But just not using all of the area as i would like to keep the spare in. Thanks a lot for the comments and help so far.
WAR40T Posted October 2, 2013 Author Report Posted October 2, 2013 Anyone else want to chime in with a box design?
