Awhitewookie
Hey all! I am having a cooling issue with my new cooler Specs NZXT Phantom (top 200mm fan, back 140mm, (2) side 140mm) H100i cooling system. Radiator mounted on top, inside of case with fans pulling i5 2500k NOT OC 16g mushkin blackline 1600 ram Radeon 7870 corsair tx750m psu Now before I installed this H100i, I had some $20 thermaltake giant fan cooler that help idle 37C temps and max 47C Just installed H100i (comes prefilled, pre pasted), it idles at 45C and got as high as 100C under load!!! I'm starting to think that maybe the cooling block did not fully seat on the cpu. Still would like any advice MY BUILD 1998 Ford Explorer 2dr sport 1/0 Big 3 1/0 everything Alpine cda-9884 Crescendo CZ components (2) Crescendo bc2000's (2) Jolt 150ah (2) Yellow top optimas (1) Juicebox black cherry addition (1) Mechman 270 avbm miss my bc5500 and (4) 15's You know why people are ass holes online but not in person? WillPwn4Food
Did it come with the thermal paste/pad thing already on it? Or did you apply it? WillPwn4Food
Hhmmm... When you take it off check for any dirt/hair on the pre-applied paste. Any kind of little mis-connection on that stuff can cause it to not vent properly. WillPwn4Food
And are you positive the pump is working and it isn't faulty? Try unplugging the fans while you have your temp monitor up. If it doesn't change at all, could be faulty pump. Awhitewookie
Dropped both fans from 1800rpm to 400rpm each. Temp stays the same, but if there is hardly any contact i would expect this MY BUILD 1998 Ford Explorer 2dr sport 1/0 Big 3 1/0 everything Alpine cda-9884 Crescendo CZ components (2) Crescendo bc2000's (2) Jolt 150ah (2) Yellow top optimas (1) Juicebox black cherry addition (1) Mechman 270 avbm miss my bc5500 and (4) 15's You know why people are ass holes online but not in person? WillPwn4Food
Yeah. Check your connection. If it's good, your pump is likely faulty.
