Arc Audio KAR series EQ question

So I recently acquired this arc audio EQ, and I have a few questions about it.

Its got 2 inputs, and 3 outputs. The 2 inputs say " L radio R" and then "L DVD R".

and then it's got 3 outputs, front, rear, and subwoofer. If I were to hook it up to my headunit, would I just give it one output from the headunit, and it will process the signal as front, rear, and sub from the EQ?

Also, this is my setup.

1 set of RF Prime components, and a MTX Thunder T5604 pushin em, and a sony USB explod headunit. Obviously the headunit's EQ is pretty bad being it's a pretty basic model sony, but would this EQ benefit me in terms of making the components sound better ? I've never used an EQ before so I'm kinda iffy about it.

Also, anyone have any experience with this particular EQ ? I know Arc Audio is good stuff.
