Who know's about plexiglass?

I'm considering doing a window on the 4th order I'm building soon and there is only up 1/4 inch plexi at my lowe's. my question is would it be okay to cut small squares and stack 3 or 4 of them? Also would it be safe to use plexi at all instead of lexan?

Estreetplastics.com has great prices on acrylic.

Check it out, lots of options.

Much better then the thin, cheap sheets at Lowes.

Thanks I'll check it out. I get my employee discount at lowe's so I thought I may be able to work with it but I better be safe then sorry. Love your Beamer build btw

Thanks Dude :good:

All my plexi, mirrors and other misc plastic is from estreet, good stuff.

I'd think that one solid sheet would look better then many laminated sheets.

Employee discount to Lowes...

That would get me in trouble.... ;)

I was thinking the same thing, is it easy to work with on a table saw or router? And yes that 10% off is amazing when ever I start a build :)

I haven't done much cutting on mine but yeah it should be easy to cut with a good blade.

Be careful with the hot plastic shavings though.

I cut my aero ports with my table saw so I learn that lesson the hard way. I'm mainly hoping the edges can be rounded over with a router if need too. Can the peices be ordered pre-cut from the sight?

here's a word of advice... go locally first if at all possible. I found a few suppliers on line they all wanted 80 plus bucks for the piece in my sixth order.. I went to a local supplier. . talked to him a little and got it for 30... cut and out the door... go local it'll save you money
