Two "Obsidian" 15" Enclosure

I'm planning everything out, and this is the best I have been able to get. It's the 3 inch coil versions, but I was told they like relatively the same size box as the others. They are going in an 04 Monte Carlo, and the box is max i can go height and width wise, but could go deeper. Amp will be either an SQ 3500, Sundown 3500, or BC3500. No idea yet. Having trouble trying to get a sufficient port while keeping them sealed off from the trunk.

Came up with this.

If they have roughly the same box requirements as the regular Obsidians, then it will be great. My enclosure is at 3.75 net per 15, and 36 sq in of port per 15. So we're kind of in the same ball park. The output and bandwidth/response is awesome.

Can't really add any more port, due to the width limits of your box. the subs will take up 31" of width, and the port another 5. Adds up to 36. You'll probably have to shave into your port walls on the inside of each chamber so the sub can mount right. The gaskets will be on the very edge of the port sides and edge of the box.

It should be great, though.

I was thinking they were closer to 16 inches around the gasket... oops. so having that small amount of port area sounds good with them? i was expecting it need to be bigger.

They are 15.5. And yeah it sounds great. You can go bigger for sure. Its all a matter of preference. But I just like the performance I get out of smaller ports.

But its not like you have a choice in the matter for more port area anyways.
