cj92, There are LED's that light up under the hood. the ones I think you are talking about light up the front of the engine bay from below. The less go across my strut bar and tie in to the rest of the system with quick disconnects.

Its been a while got laid off and worked SXSW here in austin so Ive been recovering from that for a day or two. So there are some small updates. Where to start?

I scraped the idea of hard copper leads to the amp. I did figure out that clear plastidip will act as a good insulator when applied thick enough. The reason that I killed this idea was I couldn't get the back side where the leads connect to all the other connections to look right or work the way I wanted. I also had a tough time getting the leads into the board due to how the connections on the memphis amp work. They have a slight downward tilt to them that made it tough to get the leads in there.

The solution? SHCA heat shrink and some nice Teckflex. This keep the install clean and Im happy with the way it looks.

I have also painted the back board a metallic grey too match the inside if the sub box. The tiger stripes are not there once everything was sanded and clear coated.

One of my goals was to clean up all the wiring, and run new 4ga to a different location in the trunk. I used the quick disconnect connectors. So now the amp rack comes out with one connection. Ill post pics of those later When I start to finalize the placement of everything in the trunk. so heres the pics.

Thats it for now but more to come. Im in the final stretch the new box sounds killer and its going to look even better.

So i have finished this ( for now ) all I need is a pice of plexi for the front of the amp rack. I really want to do some laser etching somewhere in here along with adding a glowing insert to the sub display. Going to have to get some more lead's. Ordered a leather interior kit just need to have it installed. Not a project I'm interested in taking on. I will be shooting the round up pictures something soon. My job has moved me to Houston so Im living in a hotel now so can't get any work done on the mustang of 64 Impala ( my other build ) so just a few last random images here.

So one last update . It's the end for this build I traded it in for a 2012 5.0 gt. But don't frett my current mustang will have a better system it's just going to take a wile .
