  1. Hello everyone! This is my very first build in car audio. I've been dreaming of my own system for a very long time now and since i can finally afford it I've started right away, I'm 17, a senior in highschool, and i own a 1997 Mustang GT. I know i am not the best at documenting what I've been doing but please give me your opinions. Constructive criticism would be great for anything i do in the future, but this build is far from finished!
  2. Ive currently got a single Sundown Audio Sa-12 in the trunk with basic box (2 Cube ported box @29hz). I ve got 2 Sundown Audio X-10 d2 sitting in the bedroom thatd id love to make use of. I want alot of out output and lows. Would it best to do a box in the trunk or the back seat? I currently have a beack seat delete that I could modify to fit a box. Amp im running is a Saz-2500 v2. Music I listen to is Rap and decaf for showing off. Ive got some idea and Ive down several boxes with both but Im no pro and looking for sugestions. I will post pics and dims as needed. Thanks!
  3. hey guys I just bought a 1993 mustang gt and only one speaker is working it has a old Kenwood deck with a built in cross over but none of it seems to be working the fader will not get the sound out of the working speaker but the deck fader will im no car audio expert and honestly have little knowledge in the matter but I am looking to replace all of the factory speakers and run them off of a older sony deck (only getting it because I am working on a budget) but I am wondering what the best speaker choice for the car would be. The car uses 5 3 1/2 in the dash 5 1/4 in the doors 6x8 in the rear I am wanting a matching set all the way around it doesn't have to be extremely loud especially since the cabin size is not very large but I do want the best sound quality I can get and have enough volume to work with a 15" woofer it was custom built using a dc audio level 3-4 as a base with new voice coil and stronger spider that I am wanting to power with a massive audio n3 so what speakers will give me the best bang for my buck im working with around $120 I would rather not spend over $150
  4. looking for Ho alternator DC power, mechman, singer,etc... looking for ess than 300$ used more if new hmu with offers
  5. Putting a system in my mustang and don't wanna go crazy I just wanna have some decent sound to listen to over the exhaust. Currently have a PPI PC250 that I had planned to run my subwoofer with and then purchase a cheap 4-channel for the mids and highs ($150 or less budget) But, searching on craigslist and I come across a guy selling a kicker CX600.5 for $100. Seems like it'll do everything I need, I don't need a butt load of power. On the other hand I've read that this is Kicker's entry line of amps and I don't know how I feel about that. The 4 channel that I wanted to add is a Precision Power i1000.4 <-Links to sonicelectronix page Ultimately I'd like to see what you guys think if I should grab that 5-channel for $100 or just get the 4-channel and run two amps?
  6. Hey guys im new here but need advice Im purchasing a 1997 mustang gt and know that they have limited trunk space I have a custom made 15 that id rather not sell from when I had a scion tc knowing that the woofer will not fit vertically in the trunk I was considering making a top firing box for the woofer and installing it that way what are the pros and cons of this and what other options do I have also I do not have no trunk dimensions but would greatly appreciate if someone could get me them I have looked all over the internet and have found virtually nothing I would also love to know how (if any one has) installed a 15 into a fourth or fifth gen mustang with out removing the rear seats
  7. This is going be be a refresh of the system Ive been working on for a wile. I finally have every thing all in one place, the audio, and aux stuff ( led's gauges ext). I have mocked it all up and run a lot of wires not its time to make it pretty and neat. First Things First The audio system diagram. The 8's are in the door panels in the factory boxes. Yes I know they are IB subs but they sound good in the stock box and Im driving them more as mid range drivers than subs. I am open to suggestions on how to fine tune them this is the first time I have worked with a 8 for a midrange driver. The doors still have the 5x7's too. so Im thinking this may take some Xover tweaking. moving right along. I forgot to add a shot of the car with the new wheels. They are race wheels with slicks but I think they look way better than my street wheels.
  8. So I have a DC Audio Level 5 with a 3.5k powering ect, ect. I just need a good box that will fit in the back of my mustang. Currently I dont have back seats bc of my previous system so I want them back and most big boxes wont fit in a mustang trunk. So if anyone could helpp with dimensions that would be great! Thanks!
