blake1886
Take a close look at the joints where the power connectors, speaker connectors, and RCA's are fused to the board. Usually these are soldered at a 90deg to the board and pressure on them can cause them to crack as they flex. This would be the first place I check for cracks in the solder, a connector that has lifted/delaminated off the board, or even sometimes they corrode. Closeups of the internal portion of the connectors will help, you can sometimes find a loose one just by touching it. Just let me know what you want close ups of. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -2004 Ford explorer -Pioneer Deh-80prs HU -4 Rockford Fosgate R1683 -2 Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 wired to 2ohms -1 Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 -I know it's very basic... blake1886
Some shots of the board where the power connectors and speaker connecters mate to it. I looked at the points and it doesn't look like any of them are cracked. My phone won't take a good close up so I'll have to wait until tomorrow so I can use my camera ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -2004 Ford explorer -Pioneer Deh-80prs HU -4 Rockford Fosgate R1683 -2 Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 wired to 2ohms -1 Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 -I know it's very basic... blake1886
After some more looking at the board I still cannot find any broken caps or a broken solder points on the board. but I cannot seem to get the board out of the actual metal casing so I cant get a good look at the bottom of the board. if anyone could help me with this situation I would be very appreciative. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -2004 Ford explorer -Pioneer Deh-80prs HU -4 Rockford Fosgate R1683 -2 Rockford Fosgate P1S4-12 wired to 2ohms -1 Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1 -I know it's very basic...
