SICKSPD
I just installed my system, well most of it, and I have my old sub and monoblock wired up now. My car displays a digital reading of the voltage on the EVIC screen by the gauges and Ive noticed that occasionally the voltage will actually spike when playing the system cranked up, sometimes it will spike and can briefly see it say it reached 15 volts. I'm concerned with the effect this might have on my car as Im pretty sure this spike in voltage has to do with my cars electrical responding to the increase strain put on it by the audio system. Its a 2009 Dodge Challenger and it uses a CAN-Bus system so I dont know if that has something to do with it. What could be causing this? Is it something to worry about? 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft.
