rolltide0323 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 put your old radio in just to see if it changes but more likely its the hu.I have a pioneer set every thing to 0 and the amp turn 1/4 way up it my subs slams. My old radio is a stock hu. I think I'm going to take it out and take it back to best buy since I've only had it for 5 days. I'm going to recheck my ground again and run new speaker wire to my subs to see if that makes a different.
rolltide0323 Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Okay, so I checked my ground and made sure it was touching bare metal and ran new speaker wire. No change in the output. The gain is about half and the bass boost on the amp is about half way as well. To really get bass I have to turn on bass boost, max out bass level and max the loudness level on the head unit and the bass just don't sound good. I know my setup isn't the greatest but should definitely sound better than it does right now. So i'm taking the Kenwood HU back to Best Buy and getting a Pioneer.
