Justjoshiny
Sounds like you have a sub wired out of phase. Wire one sub normally and the other one backward and see what happens. And yes, that's a two channel amplifier. And no, it will never do anywhere near it's rated power. I know it wont do anything close. I bought it all used for like $125 for the subs amp and a nice box so I wasn't gonna complain! Ill try the one sub backwards soon!

Justjoshiny
Negative and positive wires reversed. No they're correct. Double checked it on the install, but I will try it anyways. I didn't require anything so I don't know why it's messing up..

Justjoshiny
Double checked at the subs and at the amplifier? Ahh we did extend the speaker wires and that parts under the carpet now.. I will have to try that! So if the wires are backwards they'd still play just a lot quieter? Because that's what mine are doing
bbeljefe
Yes, because one cone moves in while the other moves out. Hence, out of phase. And the result is acoustical cancellation that makes them quiet. Does it matter what way they're hooked up as long as both are the same way?
bbeljefe
No. If they're both out of phase with the front speakers, it could make a very minor difference but in reality, that minor difference could be for the better.
