Well, I have 2 Rockford Fosgate P3SD4-8's. I didn't think I could wire them to 4 ohms, I was thinking 1, 2 and 8ohms, so I wasn't looking at other options.

Now that I see that I can, should I run recommended rms or should I go higher?

Money is a concern, I fish competetively which is a very expensive hobby. Oh and I have 4 children, an even more expensive hobby. I drive alot for work and fishing so I want a budget friendly, quality system. Looks like there are quite a few options under $200.

Thanks a bunch, Makes me happy when you can reach out and get some help.....

1 dual 4ohm sub can have 2 or 8

2 dual 4ohm sub can have 1 or 4

you can always go higher for resistance 8, 16, 32 ect and never hurt an amp only lower output but lowering resistance is where you run into problems.

all of those mono amps we mentioned will pound one sub (2ohm) and when you get a second sub it will pound (1ohm) and you will not need to change amps once you get the second sub.

I would recommend to do rated or to go a little higher both good options however all 3 of the amps i suggested and the Rockford will do MORE THAN RATED POWER all great choices.

Did i miss anything?
