I have a 94 civic, the biggest battery I can fit is a 12 volt. I just installed two 12" alpine type s speakers and an spl 1500 watt amp. About 4 or 5 hours after I installed my battery was dead. the remote wire is working and the subs and amp turn off when the switch is turned. Everything works right, I just need to know how to keep my battery from dying. I was thinking about a second battery, or should I put in a capacitor? Trying to do this for the low, but any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

51r is whats under the hood. Group size anyway. Or should be. Did you have the car running when playing? Did you dmm the battery to see if its charging? I would add a second battery if I were you.

Still playing it can kill your battery. Next time play with car on. Just run a power wire from your front battery to the back. Then ground battery at rear, somewhere sanded down. Then connect your amp to the rear battery.
