Probably a broken record but...

Putting a system into my 1973 Nova. Somehow ended up with a free pair of ID CTX65CS comps due to a snafu in shipping. I was originally planning to run 1 pair of CTX's and 1 SA10 all at 4 ohm on an RE USX4250, which is A/B 4channel rated at 4x100wrms @ 4ohm. Well.... Now i got 4 ctx's to drive, USX4250 has to drive all four, gotta get a monoblock, probably a 1 ohm stable model that runs 500-600wrms. My nova has pretty sparse electrical, head, tail, and driving/fog lights, an electric fan that uses 18a at full speed, gauges, electric choke, blower fan, wiper motor, radio and that's about it. No real "power options," not even A/C. Gonna be running an optima redtop 34-78 battery, and currently have a 100a alternator on a 355 sbc. So no i can't really run a super HO alternator without switching to a serpentine setup and no, just not gonna take anymore power than i have too from the motor. Is 160a (85+ idle) gonna be good for a car that will see some cruising, but mostly just to shows, pretty limited road time in general, with roughly 1000wrms worth of amps gonna do the trick (it will have a battery tender hooked up to it when it is parked at home)? I am hoping so as i think they came with 60a alternators to run their entire electrical systems, even with power windows, AC etc, granted they had a mono stereo :)

Yep. I have 150a alt, 3 batts, over 2k watts. I do pretty well and that's without a charger. I am pcm controlled so unless I combat that (thankfully, all I have to do is turn on lights), lowest I've seen is 13.1. Unless I forget/lazy to turn on lights then I see 12.5. Which, both voltages are good. So considering you'll be more amps (with less sources draining power in car) and smaller system, should be fine. Granted, may need a batt or two, but you should be fine.
