jpsaudio Posted January 17, 2014 Report Share Posted January 17, 2014 Here's my equipment 270 mechman alt 3 kinetik hc2000's (plan on buying 3 more) 4 American bass XFL 15's with PSI recones so they are 1800rms 3600max dual 2ohm i plan on buying 4 3krms amps and a 97 mercury grand marquis i have been talking with a few people and i have decided that i want a box with 2 subs on each side with the port in the middle tuned anywhere between 32-36hz. my problem is i have never built anything this big so i kinda dont know where to start. I will be using 1.5" MDF, i would like to hear advice on bracing i want this to be solid. i want to start building by the end of this month or beginning of next month...is re audio box builder a good starting point? And imo the first thing you should do is see how much airspace you have before buying stuff that may not work in it. Think about walling a pair of high power 18's on 10 k or so. Unless I'm wrong which could be. List up ur max dimensions u have to work with.
