avenged4life Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 Deadening is a must.. Thick Weather foam strip around the trunk hood will help for sure.. taillights and bumper were rattling in my case.. That's what I was thinking... all along* the trunk lid there does it help to get a new thicker weather strip put in? Mines not worn down in any way but then again its made for weather and not subwoofers... Oh and how did you go about tightening up the bumper? It does sound like alot of the rattle is coming from the bumper at this point.
Aj11 Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 there should just be bolts there, doubt they use the little crappy clips! and orz means actual foam stripping. you can go to Walmart or Lowes and get there air conditioner foam "kit" its 2 pieces of big phat foam strips. cut those Down to fit around your trunk. might need two packs $4 each. im still saying get under your car man. thats where all your metal is your gas tank on hangers exhaust on hangers heat Shields on Crappy Lil clips. stuff comes loose man. 25sq ft of deadner would solve 90% of your rattle the foam stripping will solve more then finding out if it is you bumper or underside will solve the rest. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
