JeepAndBassXJ Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 So I am working on fine tuning my bass amp and I tuned it with out a load and ended up getting 42 volts AC output and at 1 ohm that's over 1700 watts and my amp is rated 1300, so would connecting the speakers get a more realistic number? I haven't done it yet just because of the noise it would make while tuning. ROLEXrifleman Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 loading down the amp will change the numbers. Right now your are not making it do any work thus not drawing current. For lack of a better term this is more of an "idle" output and by no means it's real performance. You have to load it down to get true numbers and that includes what current it's consuming.
