Strapping amps, ohm load ?

So if I have 8 dual 2 subs, and I have 2 saz3000s strapped if I wired four of the subs to 4 and the other 4 down to four then together to 2ohms wouldn't each amp be seeing a final 1ohm load? Haven't strapped amps before so just want to make sure how the ohm loads work out when strapping vs just gain matching both amps at 1 ohm since I don't have a cc1 to make sure all the filters are matched perfect

2 amps strapped to 2 ohms = 1 ohm on each amp.

Thanks, I was pretty sure that's how it worked but just wanted to be certain
