Hey guys, I was bumping my "12 Fi q the other day and smelled burning coil so i turned it off and switched the sub with my Rockford p3, Now i have my Fi just sitting and want to get it reconed but i dont want to send it in and pay all the extra shipping if i could find someone in my area (Dallas/Fort Worth) that would be able to do the recone for me as i dont have faith in myself not to mess it up. Is there anyone in the DFW that could help? I will be ordering the recone this week unless someone has them on hand

recones are easy youtube it and take your time. the worst part is the leads and centering dustcap

As far as sourcing a recone, I just got a custom sub from PSI and it is smexy. Hit up fixmyspeaker.com. Its all up to you though, FI also sells drop in recones.

As fox said if they still play it's all good. I have been in a few cars where there subs got pretty smelly. They turned it off let it sit for a wile then demoed some more lol. I don't think you need a recone
