Chrysler 300c 8" build

Got a new router bit. And found an 8" port. Making flares now. Think it's gonna look nice

Here it is next to my old 6"

This is how my luck is. Started cutting the mounting holes. Made about a quarter circle cut and bit snapped.

Make a couple passes. Sure saves on the bits. I learned that the hard way. Build looking good though!

Test fit

So got it together and subs wired in. Went and put it in the car, and found a few unplanned issues. Box left less space behind then I though, no room for amp. Since my wires were cut to length for the previous build, left few options. And I need to fin a way to secure the box in, so that it doesn't move. So it's all back out till another day.

And the 8" PVC is significantly harder to flare. Much more area to heat up, and thicker plastic. I have made a few 6" ports, never had one split. This one did though.

To secure my box I put a few L brackets on the front facing side of the box down to the sheet metal, it took a 2 1/2" screw to get past the carpet/plastic.

So had it in and playing. Then had to pull it out and add bracing. Such a cleaner sound then that solo X.
