afrakes Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 Did they discontinue their 500 series line? Just looked on their site and didn't see them. I wanted to purchase a second for myself lol. pa-pa-platypus Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 they might have.. my guess would instead of the 500 series they basically "replaced" it with the redline series This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4
afrakes Posted March 7, 2014 Author Report Posted March 7, 2014 Yep I just saw that. They now have a 300, 500, 600, and 700 series which really doesn't make sense to me. The 300-600 are all basically the same woofer just designed for a ported box or sealed box or both. And the 700 is 1200 rms, which really doesn't make sense cuz either the 1500 or 2500 series is right in the same rms range. Just don't quite understand why one company would have 2 woofers in the same power class if u will. pa-pa-platypus Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 different prices ranges... basically a way to move more product.. prolly slightly cheaper parts used on the redline series id imagine This isn't teeball. afrakes Posted March 7, 2014 Author Report Posted March 7, 2014 Yah makes sense. Huh. Wonder if it would be a bad idea to mix my 512b with the now redline 512c? Prolly. Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD
afrakes Posted March 7, 2014 Author Report Posted March 7, 2014 Would have to pull the specs to make sure they are the same. I highly doubt it tho. Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD
