Prv

funny you mention those

i am dissapointed with PRV. seems like they have no quality control. 3 out of 8 6.5's are making a ticking noise, and 6 8's are making a ticking noise. its really annoying so im sending them all back.

What do you want out of the mid bass drivers? Like what are your expectations.. Meaning, more "loudness," or more mid bass?

No, its not unreasonable. I run a 7" mid per door. With pants on, at like 3/4 volume.. I start to feel the mids on my leg which is like 6" from the door. I know you said that Sundown is too expensive, but do you have a budget?

im at about $600 into 8 6.5's and 6 8" prv speakers so prolbably around that much. i was really happy going with prv cause they offered what i was looking for but i guess thats how life goes. anyhow i can only come out 2.75" on my fiberglass door panels cause of the seat adjustment knobs, and about 1 inch on the inside of the door before it hits the regulator. i have room to fit 3 8's on the front doors.

the rear doors i have complete

With all those speakers having a ticking issue. Sounds like you may have issues somewhere else in your system.
