for normal daily use i don't think you need any options. I'm sure someone might have a idea that I'm missing buy your not going crazy. dont get the high qts! that's for sealed boxes.

the carbon cone Is just for looks, so pick a color And enjoy.

as far as what ohm to coild to get.. well.. if you want one sub And a amp that puts out 1500w at 1ohm (cough execution audio cough) then get dual 2ohm. if you plan on getting a second sub later get a big amp that will put out 1000plus Watts at 2ohm And 2000w+ at one ohm. this way you Can run the single sub great at 2ohm then if/when you get a second you Can bridge them down to 1ohm And get the full power from the big amp. it Helps to plan ahead. this.is when sq amp shines. i believe they do nicely at 2ohms.And one ohm your ggetting 2200w. think you can get used ones for about $250

ok i Cant find any execution audio,.or audio technix amps (all the same)

there Is a sweet ct sounds 2500.1 for $750 but that might be out of your range. they do almost 4000w (3800w i think)

as for comp Amp they have some really nice 4.channel 60.4 ct sounds amp on Ebay for $129 i personally have one and.let me tell you dont let the 60w from each channel fool you! that's a 12 volt rating! they do a solid 120w rms and they Can handle a 2ohm load each channel. they go for over $300 now.

If you want a really good sound stage up front, shell out for some Hybrid Audio Imagine series (Like 300$) and follow their PDF instructions, get you some Damplifier Pro and make your doors solid as hell, and you will have a very nice front stage.

I'm not sure what your budget Is, but you have some work in front of you. if you are going to be running 1500w you really need to build up your electrical first and foremost! don't worry about your front stage until you have good 0g wire and the big 3 done. (a amg battery upfront would really help) once you have that then work on your front stage and other goodies. if you skimp on the wires you won't get everything out of you subs/amp

The components I was looking at last night were the Crescendo mezzo series 6.5". 150 rms $250 . As for what I planned on dropping for cash, originally around $1600-1700. But now I will be happy to try to stay under 2G's. I will definitely want to at least upgrade my H-unit @ front comps. Now I have an old pioneer 2400F. (Has been very dependable and still works but I need a better EQ and pre amp outputs. I am willing to hold off on my 6x9's. So starting over I want to get h unit, front comps, 4-channel amp,sub, mono amp, and install setup. I don't really want to go cheap on amps. Planned on around 4-500$ for the mono. Figured on setting 300$ aside for install setup (wires, cables, etc.) As for the sub/ amp setup, I believe the one 12 fi will be plenty to keep me happy, as to planning for future. As for the battery, is their a certain one you can recommend as to I will most likely not exceed the 1500w range with the sub.

I work at a place that buys and warehouses parts for pretty much every OEM manufacturer besides Mack/Volvo. We deal with GM, Chrysler, Ford, Mercedes, Hondo, Cat, JD, CNH, PAccar, Harley, etc... (pretty much every car, truck, semi, HD equipment/ Farm manufacturing company. We have a department that throws brand new OEM parts away all day by the semi load. I had someone start setting aside sound dampening materials aside for me. Its not dynamat or anything but it will get the job done for now @ a good price/ free.

ok, you can go to Sears And get a very nice amg deep cycle battery for $150, then your sub Is $284+shipping so prolly $75(high side) so that's $534, then a nice amp will be about $300 so $834, front stage $250 and i highly recommend the ct 60.4 for $130 so Now we'll just round to $1,200 then a good wire kit $150 + 15ft oh extra 0g wire for your big 3 so lets say $1,400 if you want to spend $2,000 that leaves you about $600 for a deck sound dampner and material for a box (dont buy one! build one!) i would put off the rear stage because you don't need it.

btw the ct 60.4 has nice eqs built into it!
