  1. man that really sucks. I wish that on nobody! How old is your X and what kind of power do you feed it?
  2. Thanks so much for the info, its explanations like that which make people like me have the confidence to want to give one of your woofers a try. Even though your company looks as if its doing pretty well in sales, and one extra purchase from me isn't going to be noticeable in a yearly quarter sales sheet, yet taking your time to answer and explaining detailed information beyond what I expected is very admirable. Again, much appreciation!
  3. Thanks ahead to anyone who takes the time to read or post on this topic. I live in Wisconsin and we are having a little cold spell at the moment. Last night, it got into the single digits (not sure exactly how low) and my D3400 voltage read 11.9v on my voltmeter when I just turned my key forward. No music was playing, only thing that was on was the dome light and that was just for a split second. My car started fine but it just sounded like a cold start. I know there are going to be days/ nights that are colder than last night coming this winter and my question is how do these XS power D3400s perform in colder temperatures. I bought mine new in April, I believe, and have pulled it out of my car and put it onto a charger pretty much once a month ever since I bought it, even though it never really needed it. I plan on bringing it in the house tonight and juicing it up again also. At the moment it is my only battery in my car so its primarily used as a starting battery. I have a stock 140 amp alternator that feeds all the juice to run my amps. With my car on, I never dip down into battery voltage. Example: If my car sat overnight in 0 degrees weather what sort of voltage should I be seeing before any type of charge or load from your guys experience? In normal warmer weather my overnight resting voltage would normally hover between 12.6 -12.9 Thanks again for replies Sorry I forgot to mention in my main post, would it be a good idea to power something with the battery and let it drain down a little more before I charge it back to 100%? Kind of like you do with deep cycle batteries. This battery is the first AGM battery that I have owned and would like to do whatever I have to do to make it last as long as possible.
  4. When Sundown receives their drivers from overseas, do they come 100% assembled then are they just inspected by Sundown? Also if that is the case, are all of them checked, or what is the inspection rate. It would be cool if the soft parts were assembled in the US. I am not too familiar with Sundown products or procedures but I always hear good things about their subwoofers and especially their amps. And like I mentioned earlier, I am slowly getting hooked on one of the Z series woofers. Also thanks Jacob for taking the time to answer posts.
  5. I am currently in the process of looking into a new 15"- 18" driver and have narrowed it down to four as of now. Two are the Zv3 and Zv4. Anyways, I have been reading up on forums and watching different youtube videos of these woofers and when I looked up videos on the Zv4, the first video was of a kid that purchased 4 new Zv4's and he was opening and inspecting them. 3 of the 4 woofers were having the same problem with the surrounds glue failing. The kid did seem to be squeezing them alittle more aggressive than I would have when inspecting them, but I would've thought they could've held through it. I have never owned any of Sundown's products before and was really interested in one of the Z series drivers but maybe if I go that route, the v3 may be the better way to go. At least till the surround reliability of the mega roll is worked out. Its definitely nice to see good customer service when the duds get loose though. Of course that should be a standard for anybody claiming to be a reputable company.
  6. Heard its better to pair the same brands of batteries and not mix and match brands. I'd stay with XS for the trunk.
  7. Need my ordered stuff to arrive!!! lol

  8. In the next couple of days, I plan on purchasing a CT Sounds 1400.1 and 75.4 amps. I have a Buick Lesabre with a stock alternator. Will a 3400D as a primary starting battery be OK to power those amps? I would just be using it for daily use. I live in Wisconsin, so cold winter mornings are the norm. Forgot to mention that the big 3 will be in place also.
