BIG_K
What would be the optimal crossover point for the mids? Ive found that using the standard crossovers (3.5k crossover point) the tweets sounds harsh! Would i be able to run the mids to say 5k? Any help would great! Polecat
We have found that going active and using the 3500 crossover point works quite well. The interaction in the passive crossover seems to cause the most trouble. It certainly won’t hurt to try crossover points all the way up to 6K. Behind every great man....is an underwear tag! BIG_K
Sorry Carolinacartel im from london (uk) lol.... bit inconvenient!! lol Polecat... i might have a new plan... Ive got a Kicker Sx400.2 running the comps at the moment and im thinking of using it to run some Hybrd audio tweeters which are 8 ohm.... Im wondering would the Sx be ok running 8 ohms? Ill be running the Rs mids from something a little more powerful, not sure what yet though!! The reason for the change in tweets is simply because im after a little more sq.... lol.... I found that the Rs tweets didnt offer the defined sound i was after! The mids however are SUPERB! The midbass is crazy! Thanks for the help

BIG_K
Is there actually a difference in the tweets? If id known that id have bought the ss in the first place!! I know its difficult to describe in words but what would u say the difference was between the Rs mids and ss mids and rs tweets and ss tweets? How much power do u reccomend i give the rs mids for optimal midbass performance and sq? Thanks You've been of great assistance, better than any of the support i can get here in the uk! Polecat
yes, the RS is a silk dome, 25mm, and the SS is a 30mm. Much broader and smoother. I know guys doing 225 a side on SS652's, i gave mine 200 a side daily. Behind every great man....is an underwear tag!
