WillPwn4Food
Okay... So... Right now I have a stock alt. Idk what amperage it is. Who cares. I just bought a 350a Singer with an external regulator. Will be a dual-alt setup. 12v for car electricals and mids/highs amp, 16v system dedicated strictly to the substage. Well, I'm wondering how to wire the 2nd alt. It will be 2 or 3 + runs of OFC SHCA from the alt to the battery bank in back. I had 2 main questions....(1) is 2+ runs enough?(2) How do I ground it? Do I run - runs to chassis, or to the back battery bank and run the 1st battery - to the chassis? mgameforever01
i believe you can ground it just like reg alt to chassis, and run the the runs of 0 gauge directly to the rear battery bank that will be powering the subs so it stays isolated. also on how many runs will be depending on what kind of power you are running to the subs.
