divebombvt
Got a powerbass 5k that played for like 5 seconds then cut out, it's not in protect. Tried a different amp and it works fine so that eliminates everything else, it must be something wrong with the amp but I can't figure out what. It didn't even have a chance to get warm, pulled the amp and checked for anything that would have instantly break like it did i.e. resistors caps etc. Nothing was blown or smokey or anything like that, the only thing noticeable was the output section transformers were luke warm like a touch more than room temperature. Anyone have any ideas? What could break on an amp all the sudden that would not cause the amp to protect. The amp was scoped clean and is on great electrical, it never went below 13.7volts, have multiple good grounds many runs of 0 gauges, 350 amp singer alt group 31 190Rc batteries, can't figure out what went wrong. Edit... Nothing is stinky
