JEFFYBOI Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 So this is a question but hey we all learn something everyday. Im sure a lot of us have done this before Installing 6x9s and using a drill you accidently slip and puncture the surround on the speaker. It is pretty small but still damaged.. How does this effect how the speaker plays and sounds? I hooked it up and by ear it sound fine but maybe its just so minor I cant tell. Also any recommendations on how to repair a small hole? EP95 Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 Unless you plan on running without subs the sound shouldn't really be affected since they wont be playing subbass, It might wear and get bigger over time though. Silicone or Rubber cement might work while still allowing it to move.

So that makes sense how it wont effect the sound much if they arnt really producing any bass. They are kinda throw away speakers not worth even repairing I will use them for awhile and just replace them with something better soon "Toyota Camry rebuild page 21 (link)http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183768-94-crossfire-camry-18s-walled-singer-alt-has-arrived-rebuild-starts-pg-10/page-21 PIONEER DEH-P8400BH 2 CROSSFIRE C5 1700D 2 CROSSFIRE C7 18 HOOD.
