FknCrawler Posted April 2, 2014 Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 Mosfets in my MB Quart DCS480 blew awhile back ago and I ordered the parts to fix it. I was so scared to do it having no experience or knowledge on how to even solder. Said screw it and did it, was much easier than expected. I have a problem though, after only about 10-15 mins of full tilt it's very warm to touch. Only using 2 of the channels. 2 Skar RPX65 on each channel(don't have enough/the right RCAs yet). I tuned this amp with a DD-1 before it blew up. I'm scared it's going to blow up again... Although I have enough parts to repair it 10 times.. I'd rather not.. dangaranga Posted April 2, 2014 Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 I believe when the mosfets go there is another part inline that I think usually needs to be replaced at the same time. FknCrawler Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 It was the smaller ones on one side, I don't know what gate resistor and I replaced them with the same parts. I think they were the power supply mosfets.
