So here's whats going on:

2 - Alpine Type R 15's (SWR-1522D)

1 - Alpine MRX-M240

Laser Etched Plexiglass w/LED lighting.

Separate Chambers for each sub roughly 4 Cubic Ft. each

Sky High Car Audio 8 Gauge Speaker Wire

This box was built for a friend, it took us about one month to build but it was only really about 7 days of actually working because we were mostly only able to work on weekends. Had a few problems here and there but all in all it turned out well. It is going into a 2003 Denali Yukon XL. This build was done by me and PortSideAudio.

The WinISD response graph

We originally planned on using the 4ohm dvc subs but had to change when we realized that the amp wasn't 1ohm stable. We had already started building at that point so we were not able to make any changes to the box dimensions to account for the different T/S parameters between the subs. The response graph did turn out decent though in either situation.

The table saw was not being nice this day so we made a jig for doing 45's instead of tipping the blade, it actually worked out really nice

Started assembly, we used drywall screws and liquid nails for everything.

We put round overs on all the port edges for better air flow.

Painting all the visible port pieces.

A little size comparison to a prefab box for 2 12's we had laying around.

We use Autodesk Inventor to plan our box builds, it makes building so much easier in the end.

NIce box! i have the same exact set up in my tahoe.

What did you time yours to? We found that at 25hz these subs hit hard with good quality!

Ports cut, we had some trouble with the baffle being 1.5" thick but it worked out in the end.

To do the logo I used the mercury laser at my school. The only problems i had was finding a big enough image that wouldn't get distorted when I sized it up. I tried using vector formats but i couldn't get them to work so i ended up using Gimp (Photoshop but free, actually a really nice program) to fix the imperfections from when it was blown up. I cut it into 1/4in plexiglass (Actually .220 but close enough).
