Jonathan Sanchez Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 So i recently bought a 14' Silverado 4 door Crew cab. And i wanted to buy a good source of bass to it. I was looking at the Kicker Hideway Sub which can fit under the seat since i dont have much room to get a big speaker since i use the truck to hauling and going places with the family. I wanted something small. The Hide away is a 8inch sub with an amp intergrated but it only has 150WAnyone know what i could do to get more power? Maybe upgrade the door speakers? If so what kind should i get? Or something i could possible hide under the seat.
mmets Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 Not a fan of kicker personally but have had their subs. I had an 02 GMC Sierra extended cab and had two JL 13TW5 (I think thats the model) subs under the back seat with two amps on top and did not have to change my seat height. There are other companies that also make shallow mount subs that will fit undet the back seat. Some one on here i beleive has 4 8inch DC subs under the rear seat and it looks killer. To answer the question though if you want more power you need to buy more power and electrical to support it. If you want louder and nice four channel or two channel with a set of components up front will help. There are 100s of brand to look at. Depends on what your budget is though also. I know some decent comp sets that are 200 and some great ones that are over 4 grand. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/177477-slowboring-07-trailblazer-build/Pioneer DEH-80PRSPRV 8MR400-NDY (eight) PRV TW350Ti (6)Sky High 1/0 OFC, 12 gauge and 8 gaugeTM Metalworkz battery terminals 120 sqft HushmatXS Power D3100 (6)Singer 350 Amp Alt Singer 320 (2)American Bass SQL3200 JL Audio JX360/4 Crossfire XS 8K (2) DC Audio XL 15s (6)
