You can even select the output level of the track (0dB) so its great to tune with. It takes longer to write this post then to make a test tone or sweep on Audacity. Once downloaded: Select "Chirp" from the upper menus. A window appears. Select your start and stop frequencies, output level (1 for 0dB), and length of sweep. Press OK and the waveform appears on the screen. Go to File and then Export and select the track format (WAV, MP3) and the name of the file.
