This amp is going in my 98' Merc. it has a stock 105 amp alt, and a fairly new duralast batt. I would like eveyones suggestions on what I should do. My question is If I install a HO alt with a Legit battery up front, would an accessory battery be necessary? And if so, what ampere alt would you suggest, and what cca battery would you suggest? Nathan @ XSpower Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Your battery is a group 40R stock. Maybe able to run a D4800 depending on the height clearance you have. Stock alt, proper wiring, and a good front battery and you should be ok for daily use. Quote
