If you are tight on space, yes it will work.

3 would be better if they will fit.

Current system:

1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s

Previous systems:

2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz.

1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

Really it depends on your tuning but you should be fine. Though like bkolfo4 says, 3 would be a good idea.. What is the recommended volume per sub? And what you tuning the box to??

Actually come to think about it a 6 inch port would make more sense. Cause more ports means more length and depending on the position of the port you might have to add in bends and stuff.. And the 6 inch port will be more efficient. Make sure you flare your port to help with air flow.

More ports does not mean more length.

A 6" port will have to be longer than 2 4" ports.
