Hello everyone i am planning on buying 2 pwx 6.5 pro mid ranges and 2 FT1 super tweeters. How would i go about setting these things up like crossover wise? i believe the mids only sound good between 83hz-5.6khz. I know on my amp i can set the highpass filter to about 80 hz but how would i stop it from playing above 5.6khz? Would i need to buy some kind of special crossover equipment? What do i need to buy? I have a cheap pioneer headunit that only has a lowpass for the subwoofer. I also have a cheap clarion eq to help with the sound quality of these speakers as i hear PA systems are annoying.

For the tweeters i am planning on buying this unless there is something else i can buy to help with my crossover points.

FT1 Tweeter crossover These are our in-line crossovers designed for the FT1, FT1-SE and other super tweeters.

Designed with a 5 khz High pass 12db/oct slope, they are a perfect match to get the most out of your FT1's

Available in 4 or 8 ohm

1 crossover is needed per tweeter

i have 2 sets of component speakers right now one set in the front and one in the back of my car, but am only running 40 watts a speaker at 4 ohms. The components are struggeling to keep up with my subs. Im am hoping that these will sound louder with the same power given that they are PA speakers.

I could even wire them to 2 ohms so i can get 70 watts a speaker.
