tmac93 Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 I have an orion hcca 10.2. I need help designing a sub box, im not really sure what kind of box will work best for this sub. Its going to be a daily driver, i listen to mostly rap and slowed music. So a tune around 32-34hz should do. I really want a box thats going to help push this lil beast to the limit. Trunk space isnt really a big issue in a dodge charger, so i believe i have plenty to work with, ive read around that its best to have this sub firing up, but im just not sure whats best with this thing? Anyone had any expierence with theseto help me out? Thanks in advance
jarrius Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 First. Wrong section bro if you put this in the correct section it could get answers faster. So next time take a look farther then the general audio section when we have a subwoofer/enclosure section. Second in any car 99% of the time it's better to fire the sub and port forward or back to the trunk lid. With firing it up you will have a lot of trunk rattle wich is not good. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole

Soccerballzs Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 Hey I will help you out I run single HCCA 10.4 here. Do not turn the down firing at all will damage coil. I have Jeep I fire my up but that is my setup. I run a 1.25 box at 36 hz here. Last show 135 db. You are not going to get any hair movement but you will feel the bass believe me. These woofers have heaving excursion keep that in mind. They do not like low volume's at all. I would run sub facing interior port also facing interior with just a single sub. They will smell for the first couple of weeks keep that in mind at high volume burn it in at 800 watts for a couple weeks then throw power at it. You will love it. They do not like bass boost at all.
