I'm gonna practice on my sws 12d4s.35hz's? Also port calculations have me a bit baffled, I'm looking at around 5cf and maximum port of 11 x 10 can this be done with 2 12's?

(sorry for the late reply) but my boy has the exact same amp. 1100w @2ohm 800w @1ohm. he had it on a type r 12 dual 4ohm sub. kept it on 2ohm at the amp. i personally thought he got screwed because that amp didn't push that sub at ALL! my jl 500/1 moved my r much harder! anyway he bought a New amp a few weeks after buying that alpine amp for $500 (rip off) and his sub came to life. anyway i traded him some audio gear for it to upgrade my girls amp. older Jensen amp. she has the New alpine type r like me and him but hers is dual 2ohm. so i ran it @1ohm at 800w i had the same issue as you. the sub never got Loud but it would stink. gains set good all the xovers set right... still not loud and stinky! the amp never shut off or got hot no issues with the amp, other then it sucks. i ditched it and went back to the Jensen 500w and at 4ohm stomped all over that alpine. by now i hope you figured out your issue. but i put any amount of money that your amp was causing all your issues. jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
