Pioneer~Saturn
Hey guys, This will actually be a rebuild (redesigned too) of his last build because I let him down. I simply wasn't on my game, split up with my girl, wasn't in the right mind and let a sub-par enclosure leave my shop, but there's really no excuse...I screwed up and will be doing a rebuild that will exceed expectations. I will be including videos along the way just with some thoughts on working with birch (and build tips in general) and how I go about things on a build like this (and more builds with vids like this to come). I will also be taking a break from builds from customers (both wooferwarehouse.com and personal) for a while due to my work schedule, other projects that I want to work on, and more freedom with my time. 55+ work weeks plus enclosure builds adds up very quickly, some weeks over 75 hours of work and it takes it's toll. Builds may still happen periodically shortly down the road but they will be way over the top as far as design + build go and I may auction them to give profits towards charities. Anyways, onto the build... Specs come to: -3.925 cubic feet net -31hz tuning -42.25 sq inches of port area Taping up the panel edges so I don't get chipping. The enclosure will be stained and lacquered once finished so those edges must be perfect. Vids, yes they're water-marked...oh well.... More when it happens... Pioneer~Saturn
And, yes...I spray-glued carpet onto the underside of my jig saw before rough-cutting the cutouts...cant scuff them grainzzz... Bit of an optical illusion on the top corner...idk, looks weird? lol A little blotchy on the top, a 2nd coat of stain should help with that. That grain....
