tahoexfixssd
4 layer of matt on everythingthese are the peices with body work complete on the pieces themselves. then they all get sanded back down and worked together. each piece is atleast 3/16" fiberglass layup not including fleece thickness.dont got many pics of this piece, but its molded off the factory piece. tahoexfixssd
notice the minimal amount of sanding needed on those 2 layups. pieces will be covered in perf vinyl i had custom made in korea to match the seats. notice the perfect gaps for 2 layers of vinyl.floor peice gettin work NOVEMBER 2008 SYSTEM OF THE MONTH! tahoexfixssd
next few pics might suck i did it at night, but you get the idea. the first one is a skeletal fame for the 3d pieces. the back of it is acually part of a layup i did for an original idea that got pitched, no need to waste glass.lol the bird was unintentional.black marker lines are used to better see the edge of the body lines while sandinglol its in there somewhere NOVEMBER 2008 SYSTEM OF THE MONTH! tahoexfixssd
heres the fun parti had all 4 pieces tinted/cleared. i had them sanded to 2000, polished to make sure they wer perfect, and then took them back to 800 for paint.luminum....polishing is a process. dirty nasty process..but i cut and did this in probably 4 hours.since the aluminum was an afterhtought...i had to machine down the trim so that i didnt have .10" of it sticking up over where i body filled the panel. easy enough and adds a nice look with this rasied panel bit . basically a 80 degree chamfer NOVEMBER 2008 SYSTEM OF THE MONTH!
