Verlaist
So.... I have a 2002 forester have removed the backs seats and looking to make a strong box. I am running 2 DD 9515 D4 on 1 m4a. Mechaman Alt and 3 HC 2400 bats. I have been looking at box designs but I am not shure how my design would work. Looking at 16hx37wx42d tuned at 36 HZ port would be 14.75hx9.5w and 19.25D. Comes to 10 cubes. I had a box built witch I think is too small 17hx37wx30D about 6.8 cubes? looking for advice/idea or if my box idea is just wrong. 2002 Forester Alpine INE-W927HD, Hertz Mille Legend 3 way 2 DC Level 6's,Bit One Audio , Audison Voce Due and Quattro, 4 Twisted Sounds 3.5K, 8 G31 Batteries, DC Power XP 270 Alternator. brent379
Well what is your goal with the set up? And those dimensions you gave ate those inner or outer dimensions??? 16x37x42= 14.4 cubic feet Internal dimensions of that are 14.5x35.5x40.5= 12 cubic feet 17x37x30= 10.9 cubic feet Internal dimensions of that are 15.5x35.5x28.5= 9 cubic feet Idk what dd calls for as far as box specs go but I don't think you would need anymore then 5 cubes per 15 after all displacements. That might even be a little on the big side but some woofers like big boxes lol. I would personally go with about 4.5 cubes per 15 after displacements tuned at 33-35 with plenty of port area. And with 2 15s with that much power your probably going to need alot of port area to keep your port velocity down.

brent379
you should have way more then enough room for that set of 15s.
TDZ13
For a daily boson that power level, i'd run in the neighborhood of 4.25ft3 per tuned in the low 30s(32-35hz) w/ 13-16in2 of port per ft3. Subs up, port(s) back. A couple 8" aeros would be ideal IMO. Double baffle and plenty of bracing. 2006 Hyundai Sonata Lx - Alpine CDA-9885 - Rainbow CSX Comps - (2) 12" Sundown Zv4 - Sundown 5K - 4.6ft3 @ 33hz w/ 6" aeros sealed off in trunk - 250a Singer alt, Kinetik 1400, (2) 2400s - 150.4 @ Dash as of now
