Taylor Campbell
I ordered a Kenwood 9105D (Mono 500RMS @ 4 ohms, 900 RMS @ 2 Ohms) . It matches my Kenwood 7205 (A very cool looking amp). However, the company I ordered it from ran out of 9105's and sent me the newer 9106. The difference is that the 9105 is 1 ohm stable (the 9106 is not) but the 9106 has more power at 2 ohms (1000RMS). I only plan on running two subwoofers so 2 ohm stable should be no problem. I am bummed that the amps don't match and 1 Ohms stable would be really cool. Does anyone else have any experience with either of these amps? I can keep the 9106 or return in and get my $160 back. Anything wrong with keeping the 9106? Jessica
I had 9105d. I refer to it as a Kenwood easy bake oven. Junk as they day is long. The Kenwood 4channel I had did great though. The 9105d would overheat and cut out. Many people have the same issue. I can't speak for the 9106 Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. Wiring comparison by CaptainzPlanetz Wire and fuse guide by Guest SyKo13

I ran the 9106d hard when I got it out of the box and it didn't get warm which is fairly impressive (Its almost a 100' here) my 7205 (the 9105's stereo A/B brother would get warm but I never had it protect.
